William Anthony Schlacks

It is with sorrow and joy that William A. Schlacks (70) has met with our Lord on this beautiful day, April 3, 2015.

Bill was born May 9, 1944 in Chicago, IL to the late Howard and Clare (Cronley) Schlacks. Graduating from Loyola University, Bill was the youngest of seven.

Bill is survived by his loving wife of 50 years, Susan A. Schlacks, their children Heidi (Mark) Schlacks Nightingale, Jeanie (Scott) Schlacks Redmon and son William Schlacks II, grandchildren; Emily Nightingale, Andrew Nightingale,  Abby Redmon and Beck Redmon, siblings; Paul (Nancy) Schlacks, Robert Schlacks and Rowena Hohman.

Bill was an Altar Boy, Boy scout, Computer Software Salesman, CCD teacher, President of Wild Oak Bay, Neighborhood Assoc. (12y), President of Villas IV (4yr), Golfer, Tennis Player, Lover of the beach, sunsets and bonfires on Anna Maria Island and Palisades Park, a truly Happy Man.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 3:00 P.M. on Monday, April 13, 2015 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Bradenton, FL.

The family request that memorials be made to St. Joseph Catholic Church, 2704 33rd Ave. W., Bradenton, FL  34205 in his memory.
