Walter S. Zahn

January 14, 1932 — January 5, 2017

Walter S. Zahn passed away peacefully in his sleep on January 5, 2017, one week before his 85th birthday.

Born in Brooklyn NY, Walter served in the Army Reserves for 10 years while earning his electrical engineering degree. He moved to New Jersey and raised a family while working for Bell Labs in the telecommunications industry.

Upon his retirement, he moved to Anna Maria Island, where he enjoyed hobbies of ship building and model railroads.

Walter leaves behind his 2 sons; Christopher (Kent) Zahn, Scott (Joell) Zahn, brother; Philip (Kim) Zahn, 5 grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and multiple friends.
