Walden Clayton Ramsey 70, of Ona, Florida passed away peacefully at home in the arms of his loving wife and soul mate on March 27th, 2025.
Clayton was born and raised in Bradenton, Florida moving Hardee County in 2015.
Clayton worked for Cedar Hammock and the City of Palmetto waste disposal for many years. He was a proud "garbage man".
Clayton was a proud husband to his devoted wife of 51 years, Darlene, Clayton was a proud and devoted daddy to his daughters and the best Papa in the world to his grandbabies and great-grandbabies.
Clayton was preceded in death by his parents William "Clinard" and Olean Hester Ramsey, grandchildren Joshua Burls and Breona Burls, brother Carlton " Hot Shot " Ramsey, sisters Loriann Ramsey and Anita Ramsey Hubbard, sister-in-law Brenda Fulford Ramsey.
Clayton is survived by his loving, devoted wife Darlene Losh Ramsey, or as he called her "Al", his daughters Tamara Joy Ramsey, Melissa Ramsey-Polite, Denise Burls and Crystal Tindall. Sons-in-law, Johnny Browdy, Eddie Tindall (predeceased), and Teddy Polite.His son-in-law or in Claytons words "the son he never had" Larry McDonald. Grand-children Matreya (Frank) Farias, Mashiya (Jose) Moralez, Russell (Kylie) McDonald, Ariana McDonald, Ky (Stephen) Ramsey, Tevin Burls, Shaniya Humbert, Isaiah (Nayeli) Humbert, Elijah Humbert, Nichole (Josh) Tindall, John (Sierra) Tindall, Larry McDonald III, Sierra Tindall, Anthony Burls and Cheyenne McIntosh. 38 great grandchildren including Papa's little loves, Sariyah (Pumpkin), Aubreana (Breezy), Westyn (Little Bill), Corbyn (girlfriend), and Mateo (Tow Mater). sister Susan Diana Ramsey Lemke, brothers Milton Ramsey (Pat), Shelton Ramsey, and Kennybill Ramsey. Sisters-in-law Zena (Jimmy) Langdon and Chalotte Leslie. Brother-in-law Rodger Losh Jr. Many, many loving nieces, nephews, great nieces and great nephews.

Clayton married the love of his life on Good Friday April 12th, 1974, so it's only fitting to hold services on (Passover) the Last Supper, April 12th, 2025. Visitation will be held from 2pm until 5pm. with Service commencing at 5:00pm at Shannon Funeral Homes.
A heartfelt family meal to honor Clayton will be held after the service at "Clayton's Cabin" in Ona. All are welcome to bring a dish. For more information contact Tamara at 941-238-7468.
