Suzanne Maude Haley

November 20, 1939 — January 24, 2024

Suzanne M. Haley from Bradenton, FL joined her beloved husband, Richard Sparks Haley, on January 24, 2024. Suzanne was born in Philadelphia, PA on November 20, 1939.

She was raised in Chatham, NJ and she graduated from Chatham High School in 1958. She was a graduate of Hahnemann school of nursing in 1961. She worked in the operating room for many years until she had a family.

She met the love of her life, Richard, at a singles dance in Sarasota, Fl. Their marriage was an example of true love and enjoying each other's company in all that they did.

They enjoyed taking trips to North Carolina and working on their property in Hendersonville, NC.

She enjoyed cooking, gardening and taking care of her cats, dogs and cows. She loved entering in the Manatee County Fair food competitions. One year, she won best of show for her Gator Tail Pickles.

She was a hospitable lady that loved entertaining people. Both mom and dad were godly examples leading Bible studies over the years. She was a wonderful example of a wife and mother who made her faith in Jesus, her family, and her husband her priority in life.

She will be missed by all who had the privilege of knowing her.

The last years of her life she lived at Dorcas House lovingly being cared for by Angie, her caregivers and her dear friends at Dorcas House who were with her in her final moments by her side.

She is survived by her son, Louis Haley, her daughters Cathy (John) Dumont and Laura (Marty) Miller. Also her step-sons Rick (Janet) Haley and John Haley. She has many grandchildren who adored her. Also her only nephew, Cris Wagner, his wife Katie Hazard and their son, Max.

She is preceded in death by her husband Richard Haley, her beloved big brother Ernie Wagner and her parents Ernest and Catherine Wagner.

We are so grateful she’s in the presence of the Lord at peace.
