Susannah Butler

November 3, 1936 — November 29, 2016

Susannah K. Butler, 80, of Bradenton, went home to be with the Lord on Tuesday, November 29, 2016.

Susannah was born on November 3, 1936 in Chester, West Virginia to the late Walter and Merle (Stover) Kimble.  She was retired from many years of book keeping and administrative positions, with various organizations including churches and Christian Schools.  Susan moved to Bradenton from Littleton, Colorado in August of 2005 where she could be closer to the ocean she loved so much.

She is survived by her two sons; Louis Butler and his wife Elaine of Littleton, Colorado, Martin Butler and his wife Nancy of Littleton, Colorado, four grandchildren; Amanda Purvis of Castle Rock, Colorado, Sydney Kucharyson of Melbourne, FL and Davis and Hannah Butler of Littleton, CO and 6 great grandchildren with one on the way.   She was also survived by her long time best friend, Carole Bowden of Bradenton, FL and three cousins; Frank, Vicky and Bill.

Susan was a mother and Nana to many and a friend to all.  She made friends with everyone by sharing the love that she herself received from her savior, Jesus Christ.  She leaves behind a legacy, established by the Lord through her life for generations of followers of Jesus.   She impacted many with His love and is now seeing Him face to face where there is no more death or mourning or crying or pain (Revelation 21:4).   Her favorite Bible verse is a testament to how she lived her life:

“For I am sure that neither death nor life, nor angels nor rulers, nor things present nor things to come, nor powers, nor height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God in Christ Jesus our Lord.”

Romans 8:38-39 ESV

Private family services will be held at a later date.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the American Heart Association in her memory.
