Susan Leora Salyer, 95, Bradenton, passed away April 19, 2015.
She was born December 23, 1919 in Bradenton to the late Graydon and Addie (Holland) Johnson who were part of the pioneer Johnson family that settled in this area back during the Civil War. Leora was a life long resident of Bradenton, and graduate of Manatee High School. Leora and her late husband were the former owners of a chicken farm on Morgan Johnson Road in Bradenton.
She was predeceased by her husband Elmon in 1988, daughter, Susan Eldridge in 2005, one brother and two sisters. Leora is survived by her grandson, Scot Eldridge of Bradenton, nephew, Barney Edwin Stewart of Bradenton of whom she help to raise and many extended family members and friends.
Private family services were held.
The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to TideWell Hospice in her memory.
