Susan Kaye Reynolds Chalfant, of Bradenton, passed away November 3, 2017.
She was born March 10, 1950, third of four children of Raymond and Marion (Brown) Reynolds.
Spending her early years in the Detroit area she graduated from Wayne John Glenn HS and attended Central Michigan University.
In 1972 she married Timothy Chalfant. Susan and Tim welcomed daughter Katherine (Katy) while living in Bellingham, WA and then settled in Plantation, Florida before moving to Palmetto.
Susan had several careers, the longest working as a dental assistant but her favorite role was as wife and mother, even caring for her parents when they were in their final years.
Susan was an amazing chef and also excelled at sewing, crocheting and other home crafts. Susan loved her animals, adopting many dogs.
She is survived by husband Tim, daughter Katherine Schwab (Joe) of Tamarac, FL; brothers Kent Reynolds (Mary Ann), Elk Rapids, MI; Bruce Reynolds (Evelyn) Manhattan Beach, CA; sister Jean Cox (Bill), Noonan GA.
A Memorial Service will be held Saturday, November 11 at 11:00am at First United Methodist Church of Bradenton with a brief reception following.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Humane Society in Susan’s name.
