Stewart Skrill, 84, Ruskin, FL, passed quietly in his sleep on Monday, October 30, 2017 at his home in Hide-a-way RV Park.
Born on October 4, 1933 in Brooklyn, New York. Stewart is survived by his wife, Karen, son, Thomas, daughters, Holly and Bonnie, son-in-law Jim, several grandchildren and great-grandchildren, stepdaughters, Mary Harper and Catherine Uyl.
Stewart spent most of his adult life in New York, but moved to Randolph, Vermont in 1988 where he took up farming. He loved farming and tending his flock of sheep. In 2000 he married Karen Harper, from Sarnia, Canada. They were members of the Middle Branch Grange in Vermont and Bradenton Rotary Club in Florida. They retired from farming in 2010, bought a motorhome and went to Bradenton, Florida. For the next 5 years they travelled in the motorhome then settled at Hide-a-way RV Park in Ruskin.
He served in the Army as a young man and he was a member of the Masons for over 65 years.
Stewart will be interred at the Pinelawn Cemetery in Farmingdale, Long Island, New York at 2:00 P.M. on Saturday, November 4, 2017. Two memorial services will also be held at a later date and time. One will be at the Hide-a-way RV Park in Ruskin and the second one will be at the Ridge Church in Brookfield, Vermont.
