Shirlene Helga Stephens

July 18, 1933 — November 30, 2019

Shirlene Helga Stephens, born on July 18, 1933,in Elmira Ontario Canada, to Jacob Brown and Alma Brown ( Schmidt ) passed away on November 29, 2019.

Shirlene immigrated with her family to the USA in 1967, but remained a Canadian citizen. She worked as a cashier at Bealls and a jewelry store.  She enjoyed boating and traveled the USA and Canada during the summer months in a motor home.  Her favorite trip was to Alaska.  Her passion was quilting and she belonged to several quilting clubs. Her beautiful creations are prized possessions of family and friends. Shirlene suffered with complications of diabetes for many years.She was also a fantastic cook and hosted Thanksgiving and Christmas dinners for many years. She was a woman of faith and attended Trinity United Methodist Church for many years.

She is survived by her daughter Deborah (Glenn) Chase, grandson Cory (Alene) Collins, and great grandson Declan T Collins. As well as by Gabriel Brooks and Tristan Brooks.

She is predeceased by her father, mother, brothers Gerald Brown and Donald Brown, and ex-husband Josiah Gregory and husband J. G. Stephens.

Graveside services to be held at Mansion Memorial Gardens on Friday, December 6, 2019 at 11:00 am. In lieu of flowers the family suggests a donation to The American Diabetes Association.
