Samuel P. Scott, 101, of Palmetto Florida passed away at home with his family at his side on January 18th 2023.
He was born August 21, 1921 in Bradenton Florida at Bradenton General Hospital to Miriam and Clarence Scott, Sr.
Samuel attended and graduated from Palmetto High School.
He was a member of the Palmetto Masonic Lodge, the VFW, Disabled Veterans, Kiwanis, the JC Congress and was the owner and operator of Scott Electric Company for many years.
He honorably and proudly served his country as a U.S. Army Air Corps pilot during WWII.
Samuel is survived by his loving wife, Bonnie F. Scott and four children; John Timothy Scott (wife Cassie), Margaret Hope Floyd, Debbie M. Pierson (husband Rick) and Brad R. Scott (wife Shirley).
He is also survived by 12 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren and 2 Great, Great Grandchildren.
He was predeceased by his parents, siblings and his son Samuel Scott Jr. and daughter Debra Lee Lake.
Services will be held at Shannon Funeral Home 1015 14th Street W in Bradenton, Florida on Saturday February 4th with viewing beginning at 10:00 AM, Services at 11:00 AM with graveside to follow. He will be laid to rest with military honors at Palmetto Cemetery.
The family would like you to know that if you would like to wear something with Red, White and Blue to the service, feel free to do so. For those who plan to attend, there will an opportunity to give a testimonial or tribute (1-2 minutes long) during the service.
