Ronald H. French Sr, 80, of Palmetto passed away June 2, 2022. Ronnie was born in Massena, NY. He joined the United States Navy after graduating high school, and later moved to Bradenton in 1971. He retired from Manatee County Government in 2007. He was an avid golfer, loved spending time with family, friends, and his dogs. He was a member of the Moose Lodge & American Legion. He also genuinely enjoyed the people and the purpose volunteering with Hunger's End Food Pantry. He was predeceased by his parents- Howard & Malvina, and his devoted wife- Gail. He is survived by two brothers; Bob of Bradenton; Ray (Mary) of NY, and one sister; Brenda (Jerry) Clark of NY. Four children; Ron Jr. of Palmetto, Ray of Myakka City, Aimie (Craig) Johnson of Palmetto, Chris of NH; Four grandchildren; Jason (Jessica), Kierstyn (Justin), Brianna (Zack), & Christopher; seven great-grandchildren and many nieces & nephews; As dad would say; “Glad you got to see me”. A service in his honor will be; 10:30 a.m., June 23, 2022, at the Sarasota National Cemetery, officiated by Carl Snyder. Golf attire encouraged if attending the service.
