Roger Steve Foskey

Roger Steve Foskey of Bradenton, FL passed away at home on October 30, 2019.

He is survived by his mother Josephine 'Peggy', brother Rick, sister Rita (Craig) Skinner, and Nephews Cory and Daniel, Brad Vaught, Anthony Skinner (Chelsea and Rylee), Travis (Baylee) Skinner. His one niece Brittany Dillard (Josh and Brantley) and last but not least his beloved dog Lily.

He was born on July 3rd, 1959 raised right here in Manatee County. He started off working for the local Hagn's Shell gas station for many years, he then briefly worked at the manatee County Sheriff's department before making a career change and began his journey working at the Tropicana glass plant where he devoted 15 years of service. He was an avid fisherman and a devoted Florida Gators football fan. He never missed a game and could always be found wearing Florida Gator attire. His past time was building and repairing cast nets for the local fisherman. In which he has a great passion and knowledge for. He was actively involved in his church playing the role of the evil tax collector in The Walk Through Bethlehem. He could brighten up any room with his wit and personality, and always willing to lend a helping hand.

Roger was predeceased by his father; Thomas S and sister in law Norma Jean.

Family asks that you please honor Roger by wearing Florida Gators attire for services.
Visitation will be held Saturday November 9, 2019 from 10-11:30 at Samoset First Baptist Church. Services will be held at 11:30 on Saturday, November 9, 2019 at Samoset First Baptist Church.

In lieu of flowers family asks that donations be made in Roger's name to St Judes Research Hospital or to the Humane Society of Manatee County.
