Robert A. Healy

October 24, 1952 — August 16, 2024

Robert Alan Healy, 72, of Parrish, FL, passed away peacefully on August 16th surrounded by his loved ones. While our hearts mourn the loss, we take comfort in knowing he is no longer suffering, and is in the presence of his Lord and Savior, Jesus Christ.

Robert was born on October 24, 1952, to Charles and Marilyn Healy in Newark, NJ. After Robert graduated from Oil City Senior High School in 1972, he served in the US Navy, stationed at Norfolk NAS, where he was a Photographer in the Atlantic Fleet Audio Visual Command. His first career following the military was working alongside associate and friend Pat Robertson as Department Head of Photography on "The 700 Club", as well as serving on the ground floor of "CBN University", now internationally accredited Regent University.

He was blessed with the opportunity to develop working relationships with warriors of the Christian faith, such as Rev. Billy Graham, Rev. Charles Stanley, and Ben Kinchlow, as well as political figures like Chuck Colson. His tenure at CBN sparked a lifelong interest in politics and an eternal relationship with Jesus Christ. Robert's naval experiences later segued into a decade-long career with Cantol Chemicals, where he worked with the US Military as a civilian alongside high-profile client (and close personal friend), Jacques Cousteau, among others. Robert graduated from corporate life when he began his own software company, Software by Matrix, writing computer software for industry leaders such as Clarion Computers, Sylvan Learning Centers, The Social Security Administration, and Hoveround Mobility. He thrived as a software engineer until 2016 when he left to fight a 5-year battle with stage 4 non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma, which he won. He returned to Moffitt Cancer Center in his free time to speak with new patients and their families, and to be an example of faith and hope for the future. His favorite verse which he often shared was Romans 8:28 “And we know that all things work together for good to those that love God; to those who are called according to His purpose.”

In 1974, Robert was introduced to Juanita on a blind date. After a brief courtship, Robert and Juanita married on August 4th 1974 and went on to have 2 daughters, Aliza Michelle and Marie Adell.

Robert was predeceased by his wife Juanita Healy, parents Charles and Marilyn Healy, and younger brother Thomas Healy. He is survived by his brother and wife, Jim and Kris Healy, brother and wife Jay and Cyndy Healy, his daughters and their husbands Aliza and Mark Phillips, and Adell and Michael Roscoe, grandchildren Dalton, Carter, and Grayson Andrews, and Xander Enger, and 5 great-grandchildren.
