Richard Ackerman
March 12, 1954 — October 9, 2020
A Father, Grandfather, Uncle, Brother, Nephew and Cousin who made an immeasurable impact in this world as a Pastor, Worship Leader, Musician, Singer, Songwriter, Composer, Recording Artist, Audio Engineer, Creative Arts Production Designer, videographer, and a heck of a boat Captain. He brought everything he touched to life. He brought adventure into every circumstance whether in smooth sailing on the ocean or being caught in the strong riptide. He would say “isn’t this great?!” and “how many people get to do this?!” Life for him was a “get to do!’ And he “did it” like no other. Life was his ultimate show and God was his creator and producer.
Ric Ackerman leaves a legacy as the son of late Dr. Verle and Lucille Ackerman, brother to Catherine Ackerman and her husband, Clayton Fitzhugh and an uncle to Celeste Roper. He was a husband to Ayesha Coxon and a father to twins Richy Ackerman (his wife Lindsay Ackerman) and Rusty Ackerman (his wife Nicole). He had 6 grandkids: Faith, Annie, Cali, Kaitlyn, Carter, Austin and Branden.
John 11:25-26
Jesus said “I am the resurrection and the life. The one who believes in me will live, even though they die; and whoever lives by believing in me will never die.
