Rick Wilson, age 49 of Bradenton, passed away September 11, 2019 after a recurrent battle with lymphoma. Rick battled his disease as the spiritual warrior he was and leaves us better for having known him.
Rick was born in Chicago to his parents Nancy Kirk Wilson and Earl Wilson. Rick had two brothers, Robert of Michigan and Michael of Illinois. Rick delighted in his two children, Spencer and Skyler Wilson of Missouri and was recently promoted to grandpa with the birth of Zachary Wilson. Rick is survived by his newlywed spouse, Stephanie Harper Wilson. Rick was a Gulf War Army Veteran and a martial artist, having studied Kempo as well as studied and taught Tai Chi. Rick was a massage therapist and taught others on the path of this healing profession. Rick loved the practice and teaching of meditation and lived his spirituality daily. Rick wished to be remembered for the kind, considerate, selfless and compassionate soul he is. He was able to see the positivity in people, even when they could not see it in themselves.
There will be a celebration of his life on October 12th from 11-4 in G.T. Bray Park, where he met his wife. For details and to RSVP, please contact Stephanie Wilson at sherises112018@gmail.com . May his soul find the peace it so richly deserved.
