Rev. Lazaro M. Uribe, Jr., 61, Palmetto, passed away Feb. 12, 2015.
Rev. Uribe was born Feb. 23, 1953 in Merida, Yucatan, Mexico to Lazaro M. Sr., & Leyla (Sauri) Uribe. He received his Bachelors of Theology degree in CA, and was ordained in the early 1980's by the Assembly's of God in Wisconsin to preach.
During his ministry he pastured churches in Wisconsin, Minnesota, Massachuetts, and Texas. He was a published author of two books.
He moved to Palmetto 3 years ago coming from Rio Honda, TX. He attended the Casa Restauracion Salem Church in Palmetto and RiverLife Church in Bradenton.
He was predeceased by his father and is survived by his loving wife of 40 years Sharon Uribe, three dear children; Joshua (Christina) Uribe of Palmetto, Angelica Uribe of McAlen, TX, Charity Uribe of Palmetto, mother, Leyla Uribe of Bay City, MI, brother, Jerry (Tamara) Uribe of Minneapolis, MN, sister, Leyla (Don) Ayersman of Morgantown, WV, four grandchildren and many brothers and sisters in Christ.
A celebration of Rev. Uribe's life will be held at 7:00 P.M. on Monday, February 16, 2015 at the Casa Restauracion Salem Church in Palmetto. Further services and inurnment will take place at a later date in Texas.
