Paul Peter Valenz, (Paulie) 79, of Bradenton, passed away December 25, 2016 while on a cruise with his loving wife. Paul was born on October 17, 1937 in Clifton, New Jersey to the late John and Betty (Sim) Valenz. He worked as the Sales and Marketing Manager for French’s Food Company for over 35 years.
Paul moved to Bradenton in 1988 coming from Chicago, IL. Locally he was a member of the Bradenton Elks Lodge 1511, Anna Maria Moose Lodge 2188, was formerly active serving in many positions including president of the Flamingo Cay Homeowners Association for 10 years. He also served with the Federation of Manatee County Community Associations. Paul was a former member of the Eagles and several professional organizations over the years.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 21 years, Ellen Pritchett Valenz of Bradenton, two loving children; Steve (Cathy) Valenz of Windermere, FL, Lisa (Peter) Piacente of Charlestown, SC, two brothers; Edward (Marge) Valenz of Ft. Lauderdale, FL, Robert (Judy) Valenz, of Miami, FL, five precious grandchildren, four darling great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
A celebration of Paul’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Sunday, January 15, 2017 at the Benevolent and Protective Order of Elks, Lodge 1511, 2511 75th Street West, Bradenton.
The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Alzheimer’s Association in his name.
