Patricia Price

October 20, 1936 — March 25, 2021

Patricia Angela Price (10/21/36-3/25/21) passed away in Bradenton, FL. Patricia was born and raised in New Jersey. She was the second of four girls, born in Paterson to Concetta Templeman (nee Licardo) and Russell George Templeman. Pat graduated in 1956 as a Registered Nurse from the nursing program at Muhlenberg Hospital, Plainfield, NJ. She met her husband of 53 years, Joseph Daniel (Dan) Price, in Morris Township, NJ through a classmate. Pat and Dan were married in 1957 in Flemington, NJ. They started their married life in Morristown, NJ and eventually settled in Denville, NJ for more than 30 years. While still in Denville, they purchased a part-time home in Bradenton, FL, which they moved to full-time in the early 1990s.
Pat was an avid reader; talented seamstress, including holiday costumes; and created seasonal crafts for loved ones and neighbors. She was known for her delicious apple pie, apple crisp and Jello cookies. Pat loved summers at the Jersey Shore before moving to FL. She was a serious collector of Wedgewood blue jasperware.
Church was an important part of Pat’s and Dan’s lives, as founding members of Prince of Peace Lutheran Church in Denville, and members of Redeemer Lutheran Church, Bradenton. Pat was especially faithful to her Bible studies. Surviving are: 4 children, daughter Jennifer and husband John (Cosby), of Sarasota, Fl, who were constant companions and caregivers for Pat and Dan; daughter Kathleen and husband Keith (Dunn) of Newton, NJ; son Jim and wife Elaine of Mechanicsburg, PA; son Russell and wife Debra, of Mine Hill, NJ; 7 grandchildren, Anne-Marie (Price) and husband Tim (Johnson), Kaitlin (Price), Megan (Price) and husband Matthew (Friedman), Matthew Price, Miranda Cosby, Colton and Kasey Dunn; 4 great grandchildren, Abigail and Paige (Johnson), Avary (Price) and Kellan (Friedman); two sisters Alessandra Licardo of California, her youngest sister, whom she raised from the age of 11; and her older sister Nancy Fink of California. Pat is also survived by her daughter-in-law Linda Price of Boonton, NJ and many nieces and a nephew. She was predeceased in 2010 by her husband; in 1997 by her sister Linda Evans, to whom she so unselfishly donated a kidney; and in 2008 by sister-in-law Joan Price.
Internment of ashes will be done by private arrangement with family only. For those who care to make a contribution in Patricia’s name, please consider the Polycystic Kidney Foundation, www.pdkorg.com.
