Pastor Roger Sterling Wells Sr. was born on June 4, 1939 to Robert and Sally in Louisville, KY.

Reverend Roger Wells Sr. fell in love with Frances and together they raised 9 beautiful children. For Mr. and Mrs. Wells, there was nothing more important than family and God. He was the Pastor and founder of New Life Community Baptist Church that was built onto the house he raised his 9 children in on Reynolds Ave in Providence, Rhode Island.
On February 17, 2022, the Lord called Roger Sterling Wells Sr. to eternal rest. In addition to his parents, Roger was preceded in death by daughter Marcella Correy, son Charles Wells. Also, brothers, Reverend John Wells, Reverend Robert Wells, Willie Wells. Sisters, Evelyn Malone and Elizabeth Bean.
Pastor Roger Wells leaves to cherish his memory his sons, Clyde Correy, Ronald F. Wells Sr. & Alton Wells of Florida. Roger Wells Jr. and Kevin Wells of North Carolina, George Correy & Kenneth Correy both of  Rhode Island. Brother and sister in law, Larry & Fanny Wells, Elder Charles & sister in law Tessa Wells. Sister Ethel and his late brother Julius Wells.
