Otto Gene Schindler

Otto 'Gene' Schindler, 90, of Bradenton passed away on June 22, 2018 at home with his loving wife.

Born March 14, 1928 to August J. and Frieda Schindler in Findlay, Ohio.

Gene was an engineer with Virginia Electric & Power Co., Virginia Beach, VA for 26 years, retiring in 1983.

Gene and his wife moved to Bradenton, FL from Virginia Beach, VA in 1984.

Otto is survived by his wife Janice E. (Jan) Schindler of 67 years, his brother George Schindler and family of Findlay, OH, and family member Donna Wheeler and family of Lyndonville, VT.

Otto was an avid antique car enthusiast and a barn photographer having photographs from 49 states.
He is a U.S. Navy veteran, serving from 1948 to 1952.

Services to be held Wed. June 27, 2018 at 2pm at Shannon Funeral Home Westview Chapel at 5610 Manatee Ave W, Bradenton, FL. With a reception to be held at the home of Jan and Otto in Bradenton.

In lieu of flowers donations would be greatly appreciated at Meals on Wheels and/or Tidewell Hospice.
