With love and gratitude, we share the passing of our beloved mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother, Olga Cucci, who peacefully entered eternal rest at the age of 90. She is now reunited with the love of her life, Gennaro Cucci, whom she was married to for 46 years until his passing.
Born in Chicago, IL, Olga was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother whose life revolved around family, faith, and service. She married Gennaro when she was just 20 years old, working as a dental assistant before dedicating herself fully to raising their seven children—five sons and two daughters. She was an active and loving mother, supporting her children's education and sports activities, especially as they attended St. Joseph Catholic School in both Bradenton, FL, and Libertyville, IL. Her faith was central to her life, and it brought her great joy that many of her children and grandchildren were baptized and married at St. Joseph Catholic Church and Ss. Peter and Paul the Apostles Church.
Beyond family, Olga had many talents and passions. She was a gifted artist who enjoyed painting with oils, ceramics, and crocheting. Her love of music led her to play the piano, accordion, and guitar, often filling her home with the sounds of classical music. She also had a special gift for conversation—she could turn any gathering into a warm and lively occasion, making everyone feel welcomed and cherished.
For 15 years, Olga worked as a teacher’s aide and after-school caregiver at St. Joseph Catholic School, a role she treasured deeply. She formed lasting friendships and touched the lives of countless children with her kindness, humor, and gentle guidance.
Olga’s greatest joy was her family. She was a proud and devoted matriarch, celebrating every milestone and embracing every moment of togetherness. She leaves behind a beautiful legacy through her seven children, 21 grandchildren, and 31 great-grandchildren, all of whom were blessed by her unwavering love.
Olga will be missed beyond words, but her spirit, wisdom, and the joy she brought to our lives will live on forever. Her family finds comfort in knowing she is at peace, reunited with Gennaro, and watching over them with love.
