Nora Lee McLeod (77) formerly of Clarksville, MO and presently of Bradenton, FL passed away on September 22, 2021 after a brief illness.
Nora was born November 17, 1943 in Mendota, IL, the daughter of Warren and Mary Jane Williams. She was the youngest of 4 children.
Nora married Charles McLeod on August 11, 1972. He preceded her in death on April 5, 2008. Nora is survived by 4 children - Rosalie Miller of O’Fallon, MO; Helen Kimball of St. Regis Falls, NY; Charles McLeod and his wife Megan of Palmetto, FL; and Samuel Joel McLeod of Vandalia, MO. She is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren. In addition to her husband and parents, she was also preceded in death by her first husband Dale Miller, and her 3 siblings - Marjorie Gilmore, Mary Louise Smith, and Robert Williams.
Nora was known for always helping and taking care of other people. She especially loved kids and, in fact, drove a school bus for over 30 years. She is still fondly remembered by many of those students. She was a very hard worker, even owning her own cleaning business for many years.
Nora was baptized as one of Jehovah’s Witnesses on June 14, 1953 and continued to be active until her death. She loved her God Jehovah and she longed for the day when this earth will be transformed into a paradise as foretold at Revelation 21:4. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends who long for the day when they can see her again.
There will be a memorial service at a later date. Anyone wishing to make a memorial donation in her honor can do so to any of the following: www.JW.org, American Diabetes Association, or American Parkinson’s Disease Association.
