Nora Jean Raker

Nora Jean Raker, 83 of Bradenton, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2017 at the Blake Medical Center in Bradenton.

Jean was born on August 30, 1933 in Crestwood, Kentucky to the late Raymond and Margaret (Smith) Stoess. She moved to Bradenton in 1978 coming from Louisville, Kentucky. She was a retired Real Estate Agent working in both Louisville, Kentucky and Bradenton, Florida. She also attended the Church of the Nazarene in Bradenton.

Jean is survived by her two sons; Steve Raker and his wife Judy of Bradenton, Florida, David J. Raker of Bradenton, Florida, two daughters; Karla J. Menda and her husband Gary of Belle Center, Ohio, Julie R. Reed of Bradenton, Florida, one brother, Raymond Stoess and his wife Donna of Louisville, Kentucky, three grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.

Private family services will be held at a later date and time.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her memory.
