Nancy Rowe

Nancy Elizabeth Tool Elmore Rowe passed peacefully into the arms of her Lord Jesus Christ on March 21, 2021, in Crystal River, FL.

Nancy was born March 22, 1935, in Roselle Park, New Jersey. She was preceded in death by her husband, Willett Rowe, in 2007 and her son, Jesse Frank Elmore, in 1976. She is survived by her sons, John Elmore (Jan) of Crystal River and Paul Elmore (Boni) of Pinellas Park, numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and nephews.

Nancy moved to Bradenton, FL, at age 10 with her family. She attended Manatee High School and was a majorette in the marching band and was known for her beautiful singing.

She married Rev. Jesse David Elmore in 1953, became a Pastor’s wife, and gave birth to Paul, John, and Frank. She was a homemaker and then also a school bus driver for students in Crystal River, FL. Later she remarried and lived with her husband Will Rowe in Brevard, NC and retired as a CNA from Pardee Hospital in Hendersonville, NC.

During retirement in Bradenton, FL, she enjoyed playing cards with her friends at the Cambridge Village community and especially loved worshiping at Bible Baptist Church. Her faith, family, church friends and neighbors meant the world to her. In 2019 she returned to Crystal River and after a long illness passed from this life surrounded by loving family at her bedside.

A Memorial Service will be conducted by Dr. Sal Yannizzi, Pastor of Bible Baptist Church, at Shannon Funeral Home Town Chapel (1015 14th Street W, Bradenton, FL 34205) on April 16, 2021 at 11 a.m. with visitation at 10 a.m.

Flowers are welcome, or in lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Vitas Hospice of Lecanto, FL or Bible Baptist Church of Bradenton, FL.
