Myrtle Myers, of Bradenton, FL passed away on October 30, 2022.
She was born and raised in Bradenton, FL to Minnie and Matt Stephens.
Myrtle was retired from the Sarasota-Bradenton airport, where she served as the internal auditor.
She was a proud member of the American Internal Auditors, American Institute of Certified Pubic Accountants, Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants, Certified Internal Auditor, Certified Public Accountant, and the Institute of Internal Auditors.
Myrtle was active in church her entire life, and member of the FBC Palmetto orchestra and last 11 years.
Myrtle along with her husband was an avid sailor, enjoying many weekends and some vacations on our local waters. The South Seas Resort, Captiva was a favorite destination with our daughters.
Her last trip with her husband was an Amtrak rail tour of the western national parks.
Myrtle is survived by her loving husband, Dennis; daughters; Andrea Myers, Ginger (Chris) Daugherty; two grandsons; Kevin Bogdan and Will Hartley; granddaughter, Lila Hartley; and great-grandson, Logan Bogdan.
Visitation will be held at from 2:00PM-3:00PM with the Funeral Service commencing at 3:00PM on Sunday, November 6, 2022 at First Baptist Church of Palmetto,1020 4th St W, Palmetto, FL 34221
Myrtle will be laid to rest in a private ceremony at Sarasota National Cemetery.
