Michael Robert Lewis, 77, died Sunday, July 28, 2024 at Bradenton Hospice House, Bradenton, Florida, following a long bout with COPD.
Mike was born and raised in Moultrie, Georgia to Robert E. Lewis, Jr and Doris Horton Lewis.
He was predeceased by his parents, his brother Gerald, and sister Carole Bledsoe (Pat) along with his wife and love of his life Rochelle Kirkman Lewis.
Following graduation from Moultrie High School, Mike attended Norman College and from there began his lifelong career in banking, moving to Bradenton in the mid 1970s.
He was fun-loving and quick with a joke. Mike was an avid Florida State Seminole fan and relished meeting Bobby Bowden. He also enjoyed a good game of golf and held a membership at the Bradenton Country Club where he played golf with friends and colleagues.
He is survived by his four children Pam Bonhagen (Kris) , Amanda Lewis, Chase Lewis (Chloe), and Ellie Lewis, three grandchildren, Wesley, Will, and Arlo, nieces and nephews, and the many friends he made throughout his life.
There are no events planned, as MIke did not wish to have services.
