Michael J. Mcgowan

Michael Joseph McGowan, 74, of Bradenton, FL passed away on April 5th, 2023.

Michael was born to Francis and Anna McGowan in Yonkers, New York.

He will be lovingly remembered by his adoring wife, Marlene McGowan and sisters Margaret McGowan and Teresa Nelson and his brother Frank McGowan (Laura) as well as his nephews John George (Kim), Dan George (Annie Marie), Susan Kolb (Robert), Jennifer Lewis (James), Glenn Molchan Jr, Annmarie Houlihan (Bob), Maryellen Gardiner (Gary), Cathy Winn (Bob), Ed Kane (Monica), Elizabeth Letizia (Matt), Christopher McGowan (Nancy), and David McGowan (Jillian).

He is pre-deceased by his parents, Francis and Anna McGowan, his sisters Marianne George and Rosemary Molchan, and his niece Janice Nelson.

Michael was a man of many talents and a gracious friend to all. He enjoyed making people smile and never knew a stranger. Throughout his life he was a golf instructor, real estate agent, and restaurateur. Most recently, he worked with Dominoes and enjoyed the time he spent with his coworkers and making his customers happy. Michael had a passion for golf and cooking as well as gardening and working on projects around the house.

He will be greatly missed by all who knew him.

A Memorial Mass will be held on Tuesday, May 2, 2023 at 9:30 am at Ss Peter and Paul the Apostles Catholic Church. 2850 75th Street West in Bradenton.

Michael will be laid to rest with military honors on Wednesday, May 3, 2023 at 11 am at Sarasota National Cemetery.
