Michael David Jones March 5th, 1962- October 12th, 2022 Lorida, Florida. On October 12th, 2022 Michael David Jones unexpectedly lost his life while helping assist a broke down vehicle off the road.
Mike was born to Larry and Barbara Jones of Tampa, Florida in 1962. He attended Manatee High and Served in the USMC. Through the years, Mike and his family had multiple business endeavors that included: Jones And Son’s Pest Control (where he worked until his passing), Ag Quick, Shelton Jones Nursery, Jones and Sons Sod business, and a marine salvage company. He was well known for his mechanic skills whether it be small engine, diesel engine, marine, and honestly anything that had the potential to run.
Mike is preceded in death by his parents Larry and Barbara Jones, his wife Helena Rene Jones, and his brother Thomas Jones.
He is survived by his brothers Robert Jones, and Jerry Jones, Sister-in-law Pamela Jones. His three sons: Dallas (Jana), Michael Jones Jr., William (Katrina). Mike is also survived by his seven grandchildren: Jalyin, Lillian, Arianna, Natalie, Emma, Austin and Isabella Jones.
Mike had numerous hobbies that created lifelong friends and cherished memories. Hobbies included but are not limited to: A passion for the outdoors, Salt water/freshwater fishing tournaments and charter fishing, Duck hunting, cross country hunting trips for various species of animals, muscle car enthusiast, piloting small aircrafts, and he sparked an interest and passion of airboating in the local community.
Services will be held on October 30th, 2022 at 3pm at Wondering Oaks. Located In Myakka City Fl. Address: 11325 M&J rd. Myakka City Fl. 34251.
