Mary Ruth Stephens

Mary Ruth Stephens, a long time resident of Bradenton, FL passed away on November 19, 2022.

She was born on April 8, 1935 in Ohio to Harold and Ruth Bechtel. They moved to Bradenton in 1949 where, outside of travels with a military husband, she has resided ever since.

Mary enjoyed many community activities and playing cards with her friends and most importantly visiting her children and grandchildren. She visited the Harley-Davidson factory in Kansas City, KS, she saw sights in NYC and New Jersey, was amazed by the flora in Hawaii, and enjoyed visiting family in Arizona, Arkansas, and Colorado.

Mary was a member of the Manatee Life Church.

Mary is survived by her brother; Bruce Bechtel, her son; William ‘Bill’ Birdsall, her daughters; Alice Trivett and Elaine Birdsall-Moore and numerous grand, great-grand and great-great grand children. She loved us all and is missed by all.

Mary was predeceased by her parents Harold and Ruth, a brother Harold Jr., and her daughter Diane Oler.

Per her wishes, there will not be a service.
