Mary Runion Astbury, 98 of Bradenton, Florida, passed away on Sunday, November 19, 2017 at the Surrey Place Healthcare and Rehab. Center in Bradenton.
Mary was born on June 4, 1919 in Washington, Pennsylvania to the late John and Barbara (Tucci) Mastrangelo. She was a housewife and has been a resident of Manatee County for many years. She was a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, Knights of Columbus, and the Red Hat Society of Bradenton Beach.
She was predeceased by her three husbands; Herman Runion, Edward Schenker and Al Astbury, three brothers; William Mastrangelo, Anthony Mastrangelo, Peter Mastrangelo, two sisters; Evelyn Ippolito, Theresa Gaw, and a step-son, Richard C. Runion. Mary is survived by her step-son, Ron Runion and his wife Jean of Wilmington, Ohio, step-daughters; Karen Hansen of Prospect Heights, Illinois, Linda Harrison, niece, Joan Marter and her husband Walter of New York, New York, a nephew, Frank Ippolito and his wife Marge of Avon, Ohio, formerly of Bradenton, Florida, two great- nieces; Julia Marter Collison and her husband Carter of Washington D.C., Gina Ippolito of Avon, Ohio, a great-nephew; John Ippolito and his wife Diane of Parma, Ohio, several step-grandchildren, several step-great-grandchildren, and many more extended family members and friends to numerous to name.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10:00 A.M. on Saturday, December 2, 2017 at St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3100 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida. Further services and inurnment will take place at 12 Noon on Saturday, December 9, 2017 at the Calvary Cemetery, 555 North Ridge Road, Lorain, Ohio where she will be laid to rest next to her first husband Herman.
The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made in her memory to the St. Joseph Catholic Church, 3100 26th Street West, Bradenton, Florida 34205.
