Mary Joan Beaudry

Mary Joan Beaudry, 88 passed away peacefully on Oct. 21, 2020 after a long and happy life.

Born on November 6, 1931 in Swansea MA, Joan was the fourth and youngest child of George
and Bertha Gardner. She married her high school sweetheart Arthur Beaudry and followed his
medical and naval career before settling in Bradenton in 1967. Joan had five children in eight
years and was a busy volunteer with St. Joseph Catholic School and Cardinal Mooney High
School. She was active with Manatee County Medical Auxiliary, Bradenton Yacht Club and
Bradenton Country Club. Joan loved singing and hosting her famous Christmas Eve party. She is
remembered for always having an open house for her children and their friends. Later in life,
Joan enjoyed playing golf, participating in book club and being a member of Ss. Peter and Paul
Catholic Church.

Joan was preceded in death by her husband, Arthur A. Beaudry, MD and sons, Joseph (infant)
and David Beaudry.

She is survived by her four children, Peter Beaudry and his wife Adriana;
Cathy Towne; Anne Hixson and her husband Gary; Paul Beaudry and his wife Jan. Joan had six
grandchildren, Sarah Walter, Joanne Towne, Greg Hixson, Sheldon Towne, Karin Beaudry and
David Beaudry; and five great grandchildren.

Rest in peace Mom. We know that you are in heaven and that your Irish Eyes are Smiling down
on us.

A private service will be held at a later date.
