Mark A. Mclauchlin

Mark A. McLauchlin, 56, of Bradenton and Sarasota, passed away on March 18, 2015.

Beloved son of David and Betty McLauchlin, Mark moved here from Cincinnati Ohio in 1972. Survived by his brother Scott (Ping) McLauchlin and sister Suzanne (Mike Amado) McLauchlin, nephew Evan, nieces Lily and Emily Jane.

Mark was employed with Key Packaging of Sarasota for over 20 years. Mark's fellow employees nominated him for Sarasota County Recycling Man of The Year in 1993. At a ceremony, Mark with the Company President and Earl Smith, were presented the award by Sarasota County later that year. He loved and enjoyed his job. He was respected for his dedication, loyalty and hard work by the Company and it's employees.

Mark's warm nature and out-going personality allowed him to make many friends over the years through his participation in Children's Haven and Adult Center activities and Special Olympics. Mark was most proud of his participation in the Sarasota Special Olympics earning many gold medals. He was a member of Hope Lutheran Church of Bradenton.

A Celebration of Mark's Life will be Saturday, March 28th at 11:00 am at Hope Lutheran Church at 4635 26th St W, Bradenton. He will be laid to rest at Fogartyville Cemetery.
