Lt. Col. Kieran Olson Chapel-U.S.A.F.-Retired

Lt. Col.  Kieran Olson Chapel, U.S. Air Force-Retired, 83, passed away May 9, 2015.

Kieran was born June 19, 1931 in Montville, Connecticut to the late Charles Francis and Bridgett Emmeline (Kieran) Chapel.

Kieran served his country faithfully by serving with the United States Air Force during the Vietnam Era, where he served with Military Intelligence, and retired at the rank of Lt. Colonel.

Following his military service Kieran lived in Kendall, Florida where he served as the Director of Campus Services for the south campus of the Miami-Dade Community College.

Kieran moved to Bradenton in 1990 coming from Kendall, and attended the St. Joseph Catholic Church in Bradenton. He was also a member of the Military Officers Association of America.

He is survived by his son, Charles of Bradenton, and many extended family members and friends.

Military honors will be rendered at 10:30 A.M. on Wednesday, May 27, 2015 at the Sarasota National Cemetery in Sarasota, Florida by the United States Air Force Honor Guard.
