Louis D. Figari

Louis D. Figari, a long time resident of Holmes Beach, passed away unexpectedly August 25, 2016.

He was born in Jersey City, New Jersey on March 15, 1950 to Marie and Louis Figari Sr.  He lived in Closter (Bergen County), NJ for 32 years where he attended Northern Valley Regional High School.  He graduated from LaSalle University in Philadelphia in 1972.

He moved to Anna Maria Island in 1982, and became a partner at Callaghan Tire where he worked for over 30 years. Lou was known for his generosity with friends and family, and his willingness always to help others.  If you had Lou for a friend, you had a friend for life.

He is survived by his wife, Wanda, stepdaughter Renee Bindley Weintraub of Bradenton, stepson Michael Bindley of Holmes Beach, granddaughter Danielle Robert of Ft. Myers, and grandson Airman Nathan Robert of Germany.

A Celebration of Louis’s Life will be held at 5 PM on Saturday, September 17, 2016 at the Sunset Pavilion at the Gulf Drive Café, 900 Gulf Dr. N, Bradenton Beach, FL on Anna Maria Island.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Heart Association, LaSalle University, or Ducks Unlimited.
