Lillian Kent Hulst

January 18, 1917 — January 13, 2015

Lillian was born January 18, 1917 in Upper Montclair, NJ to the late Allyn Munson and Frances (Mitton) Kent. She was a graduate of College High School in Upper Montclair and Newark State Teacher's College in Newark. She started her teaching career in Millburn, NJ.

In 1941 she met and married her beloved husband George D. Hulst. She went back to teaching in 1958 in independent schools and private tutoring for 20 years.

She was active in the Montclair Operetta and Dramatic Clubs, traveled with her husband and friends from Montclair Heights Reformed Church to many destinations.

Lillian moved to Bradenton in 1976 settling in the Mt. Vernon Community. In 1985 she moved to Westminster Manor for many years and then later on to the Westminster Shores Retirement Community. She was also an active member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church in Bradenton where she sang in the choir and was a member of the Women's Association at the church. She was also a member of the Bay Chorale, and Church Women United.

She was predeceased by her husband George D. Hulst in 2012, and is survived by her daughter Carolyn Boyer-Rowe and her husband Ronald Rowe of Bradenton, two grandchildren, four great-grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.

Private graveside services will be held at a later date in NJ.
