Leila Wiley

August 7, 1954 — May 7, 2023

With profound sadness we announce the passing of Leila Wiley a loving and devoted mother, daughter, aunt, and friend to all whose lives she touched, on May 7th, 2023.

Leila is survived by her husband Bobby W. Wiley, children Bobby C. Wiley, Alicia Wiley, and Margaret Haney, mother Mary Harrell, sisters Rosemary Bauman and Roxanne Blackwelder, many grandchildren, great grandchildren, cousins, nieces and nephews.

Leila was preceded in death by her father Lee Harrell, 2 brothers in love Bill Blackwelder and Glenn Bauman, and niece Nicole Bauman.

Leila was born in Bradenton, Florida on August 7th, 1954 to Lee and Mary Harrell. She lived a full and happy life as a daughter, sister, aunt, wife, mother, and grandmother. Leila left a mark on all those she encountered and loved. She has blessed them with many cherished moments and memories of her through her love for Jesus, music, and art.

Leila loved the Lord and used her God gifted artistic talent of drawing to minister to others joy and love through cards that she made. She used her artwork to share her love for Jesus in a ministry for prisoners, leading them to Jesus. Leila loved playing the piano, guitar, and singing gospel music.

Our hearts are heavy with sorrow but rejoicing knowing that she is singing and dancing in Heaven with her Savior Jesus.

A celebration of Leila’s life will be held at Samoset Church of God, 3615 17th Street Ct E, Bradenton, FL 34208 on Saturday June 24, 2023 beginning at 10 am.
