Laurence Roy Macfarlane

Laurence 'Larry' Roy MacFarlane, 75, of Bradenton, Florida passed away Thursday, October 3rd, 2019 surrounded by family and close friends.

Larry is survived by his loving wife of 53 years, Diane; three sons, Russel of Jupiter, Florida, Steven of Bradenton Florida, Todd of Cincinnati, Ohio; two daughter- in-law's , Teresa and Laura; and four grandchildren; Jason, Logan, Emily, and Connor. As well as by his sister; Susan (John) Berger of Boston, MA, bother James MacFarlane of Holden, MA; two nieces and nephew and four great nieces and nephews.

Larry was a man of honor and integrity, He proudly served in the United States Coast Guard as a hospital Corpsman Third Class from 1965-1971. He was a church deacon and a Scout Leader of both Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts. He always put the needs of others and his loved ones above his own. He could make the simplest of tasks fun. Larry treated his friends and those of his sons' as if they were family. He didn't hesitate to 'father' those that needed guidance. He treasured their trust in him and welcomes them into his home with open arms. Larry always had a sparkle in his eye and a ready smile that would light up a room. His laughter and love will be greatly missed.

A Celebration of Life for the family and friends will be announced at  a later date.
