Keith P. Bates

Keith P. Bates, 64, passed away on August 3, 2018 after a short battle with Cancer.

Keith grew up on a dairy farm in Greenwich, NY.
He moved to Bradenton when he was 18 with his brother Leo’s family.

He is predeceased by his beloved mother, Ann and his father, Edwin; his brothers, Edwin (Butch), Jr. and Leo; his sisters, Jane, Debbie, & Vanessa.

Keith worked in the auto body and paint trade most of his life, working for Baker's Paint and Body for 25 years. He then went on to help his son, Dustin, build custom boats at Barracuda Boat Works. The Cuda 27 is his legacy.

Keith is survived by his two sons; Brian Bates and Dustin (Chelsea) Bates, granddaughter; Oceanna Rae, numerous nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews.

Memorial Services will be Saturday, August 25, 2018 at Noon, the family will receive friends from 11:00 - 12:00 at Shannon Funeral Home Westview Chapel, 5610 Manatee Ave. W. Bradenton. A Celebration of Life will follow at Palmetto VFW post 2488.
