Kathleen Q Kramer

Kathleen Quintella Kramer died January 18, 2019 at Hospice House in Ellenton FL, her daughters by her side. She lost her battle with cancer after fighting for 9 months. She was born in Klamath Falls, Oregon on December 14, 1937 to Mordecai and Jeanne Hess.  She spent most of her life in Oregon, growing up and living in southern Oregon until she was married and had her two daughters.  She earned a Bachelor’s degree at Southern Oregon State College and worked at Children’s Services Division as a case worker until she retired at 58.  She put so much heart and soul into her career that she also became a foster parent.  She was an avid reader and often read a book a day.

She traveled to many states and Mexico before moving to Florida after she retired and spent her last days in the sun with family and friends.  She is survived by her sister, Frances Coursey and brother-in-law Ray Coursey, her daughter Kathleen Byrne and her daughter Sharryn Walter and son-in-law Brad Walter.  She had 2 grandchildren – twins – Kelly and Jack Byrne.

Her Service will be Thursday, Jan. 31, 2019 at 1:00pm.  Roser Community Church, 512 Pine Street, Anna Maria Island, FL 34216.
