Katherine L. Dozier

Katherine L. Dozier, 68, Bradenton, passed away May 25, 2017 at her residence in Bradenton.

Katherine was born on August 28, 1948 in Cincinnati, Ohio to the late Jesse Feldman and Leila Williams. She was retired from the Federal Government where she worked as an Assistant Personnel Director. She moved to Bradenton in 2003 coming from Annandale, Virginia. Locally she was a member of the Braden River United Methodist Church in Bradenton.

She was predeceased by her parents, a brother, Earl Latham, and her loving husband of 39 years David V. Dozier in March of 2012, and is survived by her daughter, Adrienne Dozier of Lexington Park, Maryland, son, David Dozier, III and his wife Jin of Riverview, Florida, two sisters; Laura Latham of Jacksonville, North Carolina, Shelly Hickerson of Wilmington, North Carolina, three grandchildren; Madeline Raines, David IV and Natalie Dozier, and many extended family members and friends.

A celebration of Katherine’s life will be held at a later date in the fall in Brentwood, Maryland where she will be laid to rest with her late husband at the Fort Lincoln Cemetery. The family requests that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to any Manatee No Kill Animal Shelter in Katherine’s memory.
