Karl L Kopczynski

July 24, 1964 — March 13, 2019

On Wednesday March 13, 2019, Karl Leonard Kopczynski, age 54, born July 24, 1964 to Esther and Leonard Kopczynski in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, went home to be with the lord.  Karl grew up in Allison Park, Pennsylvania and moved to Bradenton, Florida in 2005.

He is survived by his best friend and soul mate his wife Dianne Kopczynski and their two wonderful and beautiful children Joshua and Emily, his beloved parents Esther and Leonard Kopczynski, his loving sisters Karen Semock and her husband Joe, and Rhonda Mallick and her husband John.  He had a wonderful mother in law, Patricia Vallelonga, two great sister-in-laws Aleene Crognale, and Christine Alexander and her husband Paul, along with seven beautiful nieces Julie, Jenny, Chelsie, Tracy, Megan, Jennifer and Jaime and one nephew, David.  He was preceded in death by his caring father-in-law Joseph Vallelonga and brother-in-law Fred Crognale.

Karl graduated from Hampton High School and Slippery Rock University where he studied accounting.  He worked in the fitness industry for many years and prior to moving to Florida worked in the corporate accounting office for American Eagle.  Once moving to Florida he was a very caring, loving and fantastic stay at home Dad.   He enjoyed spending time with his family, golfing and fishing.  He was a competitive discus and shot put thrower in high school and college, as well as a competitive power lifter throughout his life, winning many top honors for all he did.

Karl leaves a legacy full of wonderful memories and will be missed by all.  He was the most kind-hearted person and everyone who knew him loved him.

On March 21, 2019 family will receive friends from 6:00pm – 8:00pm at Shannon Funeral Home 1015 14th Street West Bradenton, FL 34205.  Funeral Mass will be March 22, 2019 at 9:30am at Our Lady of the Angels Catholic Church, 12905 E State Rd. 70, Lakewood Ranch, FL  34202 followed by the interment at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Avenue East, Ellenton Fl. 34222.

In lieu of flowers, the family suggests a donation to Moffitt Cancer Center, MBC-FOUND 12902 Magnolia Drive Tampa, FL 33612, or on-line at Moffitt.org/donate  or Tidewell Hospice 5955 Rand Blvd., Sarasota, FL 34238.
