Juanell Starrett

Juanell Rowland Starrett, age 85, of Bradenton, Fla., passed away Sunday, June 27, 2021.

She lived most of her life in Jesup, Ga., where she served many residents and families as a Dietary Supervisor at a nursing home.  She was an amazing cook and loved to make delicious southern dishes.

She also enjoyed gardening and taking care of her yard. She loved to sew and especially enjoyed handmaking pageant dresses for her granddaughters. Her proudest accomplishment was seeing all of her grandsons enter into the military to serve our country.

She is preceded in death by her son, Joseph James (Jay) Lahiff; daughter, Cynthia Kimdale (Kim) Morris; parents, Henry and Avie Rowland; brother, Harold Rowland and sister, Annette Tyre Sellers.

She is survived by her daughters, Kristin Shay Hawkinberry of Bradenton, Fla. and Karla Morris of Jacksonville, Fla.; son, Sean Lahiff of Jesup, Ga.; sister, Lena Tyson of Blackshear, Ga.; 8 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren and two great-great grandchildren.
