Jon W. Frick, 74, Bradenton, passed away November 1, 2015.
Jon was born February 15, 1941 in Cleveland, OH to the late Walter and Anna (Fudge) Frick. He served his country faithfully during the Bay of Pigs invasion by serving with the U.S. Navy.
Jon worked as a Police officer and retired as a Detective with the Gates Mills, Ohio Police Department. He moved to Bradenton in 1999 coming from Chardon, OH. Locally he was a member of the Brotherhood of the Coast, and the Board of the Manatee Players.
He is survived by his loving wife of 40 years, Bette Knapp Frick of Bradenton, son; J. Jay (Erin) McMahon PhD of Clifton Park, NY, three daughters; Jennifer A. Frick of Painesville, OH, Deborah M. (Ed) Powazki of Toledo, OH, Kathryn F. Williams of Columbus, OH, sister, Deborah A. Frick of Chardon, OH, eight grandchildren and many extended family members and friends.
A family/celebration on life service will be held on December 6, 2015.
The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Manatee Players, 503 3rd Avenue W., Bradenton, Fl. 34205 in his memory.
