John Tom Mcgovern

John Thomas McGovern III December 22nd, 1954 - March 19th, 2022 John (Tom) McGovern was born in Pennsylvania on December 22nd, 1954. He worked for General Dynamics for 38 years as the Senior Director of Engineering and Chief Scientist. He was also a Mason in Manatee County for many years. He was married to his loving wife Jolene Quinter-McGovern for twenty years. He is survived by his brother Charles Michael McGovern, his oldest son Ryan (Sarah) McGovern, their children Cassidy and Elle. His son Jonathan (Hannah) McGovern, their children, Finnegan and Fiona. Tom’s two step sons Joshua Merkel and his girlfriend Karli, and Jarred (Grace) Merkel. He was preceded in death by his mother Marilyn Shaub Burgy.
