John L. Smith

John L. Smith also known as “Smitty” by his beloved friends and associates and “Tiger” by his mother whom he loved so much.  You will be missed beyond words.  A hard and sturdy exterior but a teddy bear at heart, Smitty is survived by his parents Bobbi and Harry Smith of East Meadow NY and his partner/fiancé of over 10 years Mimi Felmly of Parrish FL who loved him dearly.  Those of you who remember “Smitty” know he loved the ocean along with rebuilding InterBay Moorings Marina what it could and will be.  He was loyal to a fault and always looked to the positive. His bright blue eyes, jovial laugh and his love of life was an inspiration. He was a devoted son, “husband”, friend and protector and he always had your back.
