John G. Davidson, Jr was freed from the bonds of dementia on March 30, 2016. He was born in Tampa, FL on January 5, 1927.
John graduated from Plant High School in 1945 and joined the US Army Air Corp. After his discharge, he attended University of Florida and graduated as a mechanical engineer. He worked at several jobs in the South Eastern U.S. and 10 years on Andros Island Bahamas.
He is survived by his wife of 68 years, Dorothy Sue, his son Steve (Lori), and like a son Michael (Kathy), grandchildren; John H, Katie Ann, Jessica, Ashley, Tyler, Kayla and Nathan, great grand-daughter Victoria.
He was preceded in death by his son John 'Dave' Davidson.
John enjoyed working at his church, volunteered for Habitat for Humanity for 10 years and served on their board of directors.
He enjoyed sailing, golf, bridge, softball and family and friends.
A Service to honor his life will be held on Saturday, April 2, 2016 at 10:00 am at Parrish United Methodist Church, 12180 US 301, Parrish, FL.
