Joann S. Lakes

Mrs.  Joann Smith Lakes, 87, of Palmetto, passed away on March 9, 2024 due to a long illness.

She was the widow of Chester Burman Lakes and the daughter of the late George and Elizabeth Smith of Hamilton, Ohio.

Joann was a hard worker. She stayed at home and raised her children. She helped everyone she could and loved working in her yard. She loved and was loved in return by her children, grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren.

She leaves behind her son;  Brian Lakes of Mississippi, daughters; Sherryl Miller of Myakka City and Louanna Lakes Willis of Palmetto. She also leaves 2 sisters; Dorothy Webb of LA Mesa California and Pauline Green of Cincinnati Ohio, 10 Grandchildren,16 Great Grandchildren, and 2 Great Great Grandchildren. And her dog Lu Lu
