Joann Hoyle Kratzmiller, 82, of Bradenton, passed away peacefully on April 30, 2016 at Westminster Towers & Shores.
Born May 7, 1933, in Stateville, NC., she was predeceased by her husband, Phil Kratzmiller, in 1992. She is survived by her son David Murr and his wife Patricia, two grandsons, Shane and Austin Murr, her beloved sister, Nancy Murr, and two nephews, Scott and Steve Murr.
Joann was both a teacher and a business woman. Her two passions were music and travel. She held a Master’s in Music education and taught at the middle school level for many years. Later, she created her own travel agency and led many organized trips to nearly all four corners of the world. Additionally, Joann was also active in the American Association of University Women (AAUW), twice serving as President.
A celebration of Joann’s life will be held at 2:00 P.M. on Thursday, May 5, 2016 in the Chapel at Westminster Towers, Bradenton.
Joann will be sadly missed by her many friends and family.
