Joann Brady

JoAnn Brady, 71 of Bradenton, passed away on Tuesday, December 27, 2016 at her residence.

JoAnn was born on August 25, 1945 in Bridgeport, Connecticut to the late Lawrence and Ann (Wisnieff) Byar. She moved to Bradenton in 1976 coming from Milford, Connecticut. JoAnn worked as an Avon representative and also as a Certified Nursing Assistant, and was of the catholic faith.

She was predeceased by her beloved husband of 46 years, Terrence Francis Brady in October of 2011, and is survived by her three caring children; Thomas and his wife Leslie Brady of Bradenton, Laura and her husband Jim Rudd of Churchill, Tennessee, Cathy Widmer of Bradenton, one brother, Ernie and his wife Gem Byar of Wallingford, Connecticut, eight precious grandchildren; Timothy and Samantha Jo Rudd, Christopher Benge, Cindy Widmer, TJ, Liza, Kayla and Jordan Brady, three dear great-grandchildren; Rorri, Brody, Jerrod and many extended family members and friends.

A celebration of JoAnn’s life will be held at 10:00 A.M. on Monday, January 2, 2017 at the Sarasota National Cemetery, 9810 State Highway 72, Sarasota, Florida where she will be laid to rest next to her husband.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the Wounded Warriors Program in her memory.
