Joan Catherine Groeschen

Joan Catherine Groeschen, 83, Indianapolis, IN, formerly of Ellenton, FL, passed away on Sunday, January 17, 2016. Joan was born on October 23, 1923 in Covington, Kentucky to the late John W. and Eleanore (Reguardt) Luttman.

Joan lived on Shannon Avenue in Indianapolis for over 30 years and attended the Little Flower Parish Catholic Church. She moved to Ellenton in May of 1998 and attended the Holy Cross Catholic Church in Palmetto. Then in 2006 she moved back to Indianapolis to be near her family.

Joan was predeceased by her loving husband Ralph Leo Groeschen, Sr. in 1999 and a son, Ralph Leo Groeschen, Jr. She is survived by her three loving sons; Ronald Groeschen of Ferdinand, Indiana, Richard and Eric Groeschen both of Indianapolis, Indiana, brother, John W. Luttman, Jr. of DuBois, Pennsylvania, four sisters, Dorothy Spegal of Elizabethtown, Kentucky, Ruth Ann Griffin of Amelia, Ohio, Linda McHargue of Independence, Kentucky, Donna Luceke of Milford, Ohio, seven grandchildren, many great-grandchildren and several extended family members and friends.

The family will receive friends from 12:30-1 PM on Saturday, January 23, 2016 in the Chapel of Peace at Mansion Memorial Park, 1400 36th Avenue East, Ellenton. Funeral services will follow at 1:00 P.M. in the chapel. Interment will take place next to her husband at Mansion Memorial Park.

The family request that in lieu of flowers that memorials be made to the St. Jude Children’s Hospital in her memory.
